Increase your picking area and boost productivity with U.S.S. Carton Flow Racking Systems. These gravity-fed flow racks are ideally suited for warehouses, retail environments, and distribution centers, and require significantly less space than traditional static racking.
Flow racks operate on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle and are re-stocked from the rear aisle. This setup allows for efficient product selection and easy picking of boxes, cartons, or bins from the front. Flow racks are an excellent solution for any warehouse where frequent picking is required or where items need to be placed directly onto conveyors.
Our flow racks can be seamlessly integrated into Uni-Rack configurations or retrofitted into existing setups. The Uni-Carton Flow System is particularly well-suited for areas with limited space where the use of forklifts may not always be practical. This highly effective system comprises a supporting rack, shuttle rails, and a specially developed, rechargeable battery-powered shuttle cart, which can be operated via handheld remote control or radio control.
During the loading process, the forklift places the pallet at the front of the bay, and the shuttle cart moves in underneath it. A platform on the cart lifts and lowers the pallet as needed. The cart is then directed—either manually or via remote control—to its designated position and deposits the pallet. When the pallet is needed, the cart retrieves it by lifting it and bringing it to the front of the rack, where it can be easily accessed by the forklift. Since the forklift never has to enter the racking system itself, as is the case with drive-in racking, this improves accessibility and reduces the risk of damage to the racking structure.
